Black & White landscapes from all over the world
In this gallery you will find a collection of my black and white landscapes. Since I am photographing digitally these days the photos are converted to B&W in post-processing when I thought the motive would be fitting. Of some photos you will find the color equivalent in the travel photo gallery as well.
Grave of Dr. Hans Riddervold Waage
In a handbook of nursing Dr. Riddervold Waage was the first one to describe where nurses should wash their patients. Before this it was common to only wash visible body parts like the hands and and the face, while the neck or arms might get washed once a week. A full body wash was not common more often than once a year. Though Dr. Riddervold Waage referred to bacteria which might grow in those unwashed spaces, he recommended washing them not to avoid illnesses but to improve the smell.
