They live primarily in hollow logs and abandoned mammal burrows and are excellent swimmers yet prefer the dry land. They can grow up to 4m (13 ft) long and to a weight up to 27kg (60lbs). They use their small hooked teath for grabbing and holding the pray while squeezing it to suffocation.
