Boa constrictor imperator
St. Hanshaugen, Oslo, Oslo, Norway Boa constrictor imperator, a nonpoisonous snake found in tropical Central and South America. They live primarily in hollow logs and abandoned mammal burrows and are excellent swimmers yet prefer the dry land. They can grow up to 4m (13 ft) long and to a weight up to 27kg (60lbs). They use their small hooked teath for grabbing and holding the pray while squeezing it to suffocation.
