St. Hanshaugen, Oslo, Oslo, Norway A green iguana taken in the reptile park of Oslo during a Workshop in Macro Photography with Roger Brendhagen as mentor. Green or common iguanas are among the largest lizards in the Americanas with a size up to 2 meters (6.5 feet). They can get up til 20 years old - if not captured and eaten since they are also known as "bamboo chicken" or "chicken of the trees" in central America. Iguanas are active during the day and feed on leaves, flowers and fruits.
