Vor Frelsers Kirke
Christianshavn, Copenhagen, Capital Region of Denmark, Denmark While the church itself is build in the dutch baroque stile by Lambert van Haven and was inaugregated in 1696 the church tower was not build before 1752 by Lauritz de Thurah. The Saviors Church is build in red brick stone, while the upper tower is a wooden construction in black oak tree with golden details and an outside staircase. Due to the sand ground on which the church is build the only chance to get a churchtower of a heights of about 90m (295 feet) build was to use wood as building material. uuid="25A41D37-B8AA-42FC-9FC4-A0C18A10C038" id="Denmark lilleulven.com 20140714_214154_DK_Capital Region of Denmark_Copenhagen_Vor Frelsers Kirke_www.LilleUlven.com.DNG Denmark Lilleulven.com"
