Hallgrímskirkja
Skólavörðuholt, Reykjavík, Reykjavík, Island Designed by statearchitect Guðjón Samúelsson, who also designed the Nationaltheatre among others in 1937. The construction began in 1945, however, it was not completed before 1986, when the nave was inaugated just in time for the 200year aniversary of Reykjavík. The church got its name from pastor Hallgrímur Pétursson (1614-1674), who also is a known Icelandic poet. uuid="FF77F662-F1CE-46B1-8261-37FB3D46B02A" id="Island lilleulven.com _K3_6084.DNG Iceland lilleulven.com"
