Crathie, Scotland, United Kingdom
Balmoral Castle in Crathie, Scotland. The original castle was built in the 15th century, but when bought by Queen Vicoria and her husband, Prince Albert, in 1852, considered too small, so a new castle was built on the same property. Today it is used as a summer residence by Queen Elisabeth II, but it is open to visitors if the Queen is not at home.
