Andalucia, Spain
In 711 Andalucía was conquered by the Moors and the Berbers. The influence of the different Arab dynasties of the Omayyades, Almoravides, Almohades and Nasrides is still seen today in the architecture and agriculture of the area. Especially the Alhambra in Grenada is a well known example of Arab construction ingenuity and quality. During the time of the Arab leadership, which lasted until 1492, the cohabitation of Jews, Christians and Arab culture has become legend. After Andalucía was conquered by the Spanish under the rule of Queen Isabella, Sevilla would become its capital and Andalucía the center of Europe.
Ronda
Ronda, Andalusia, Spain The last sunbeams of the day are falling beautifully onto the white houses of Ronda, Andalucia. Ever since I first visited Ronda and other parts of Andalusia I wanted to come back and see more...but then, of course, there is so much more to discover in the world, so maybe not within the next couple of years. uuid="D9438ACA-3B93-4A38-819F-105348365019" id="Spain lilleulven.com 20091101_180046_ES_Andalusia_Ronda__www.LilleUlven.com.dng Spain Lilleulven.com"
