Mt. Ruapehu (Exploding hole)
Tongariro National Park, Manawatu-Wanganui, New Zealand Mount Ruapehu in the Tongariro National Park in New Zealand. The name of the mountain means in English "Exploding hole" as it is actually an active stratovolcano of 2757 m (9177 feet) hight and is with that the highest point of the North Island (Te Ika-a-Māui) of New Zealand (Aotearoa).
